Use of village.dev
As is true of most other websites, Village's website collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system, and other usage information about the use of Village's website, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users' needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.
Village has a legitimate interest in understanding how visitors, customers, and prospective customers use its website. This helps us provide and improve the Service, communicate with users, maintain security, and understand demand for our products and services.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the website, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect some features.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. This may include interactions such as page visits, clicks, scrolling, and mouse movements, together with device and usage information. We use this information for website analytics, optimization, troubleshooting, and security, not targeted advertising. Microsoft collects and uses information as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Our service providers may collect information about your interactions with our website over time, and their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy notices. We do not use this information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sharing information with third parties
We use service providers and subprocessors to host, secure, operate, analyze, support, and communicate about the Service. When these providers process personal information on our behalf, they may use it only to provide their contracted services and not for their own independent purposes. Our current list of subprocessors is available through our Trust Center.
When Customer Data is processed by our AI or model providers, it is processed only as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and operate the Service. We do not permit those providers to use customer data for their own independent purposes, including model training, and Village does not use Customer Data to train its own models.
We may also disclose personal information: (1) at your direction or with your authorization; (2) to service providers that perform functions on our behalf; (3) when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful government requests; (4) when reasonably necessary to enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property, or safety of Village, our users, or others; or (5) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
We may create, use, and disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, as permitted by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use protections recognized by applicable law.
